No, not at the time of purchase: the fee is charged to the company that markets the battery in that country, and we market it in Germany. Please note: if the battery is later disposed of or recycled in the Netherlands or Belgium, the local collection system may charge a fee because no contribution was ever made to that system.

How exactly does “pickup in Germany” work?

Once you submit your request, we'll confirm availability and schedule a pickup time; you'll pick up your order and pay on site.

Will I receive a valid invoice?

Since you’re signing the purchase agreement in Germany and picking up the battery there yourself, we’re placing it on the market in Germany, not in the Netherlands or Belgium. Therefore, no Bebat fee or Dutch disposal fee is due at the time of purchase.*
