Maximize your energy independence with the 5.4 kWh Anker SOLIX storage system. This technically optimized bundle consists of the Solarbank 3 Pro (E2700) central control unit with an integrated 800W inverter and a BP2700 expansion battery. With a total capacity of 5.38 kWh, this system is designed to increase the self-consumption rate of households with high nighttime consumption to up to 90%. Plug-and-play installation of the Solarbank via a Schuko outlet is permitted only as long as both the inverter power (800 W) and the connected module power (960 Wp) do not exceed these limits; for this system with up to 3,600 W of module power, the law requires a Wieland outlet permanently installed by a licensed electrician for grid connection.
Technical Specifications & System Benefits:
-
High storage capacity (5.4 kWh): The combination of the master unit and expansion module provides sufficient buffering capacity to power even energy-intensive devices during the evening and night hours. The system can be expanded modularly up to 16 kWh.
-
High PV Input (3,600 W): Thanks to 4 independent MPPT trackers (900 W each), solar modules with a total output of up to 3.6 kWp can be connected. Power is fed into the grid in compliance with Solar Package I (800 W). Since the connected module output thus exceeds the 960 Wp threshold, a permanently installed Wieland outlet must be installed by a licensed electrician.
-
Improved Efficiency Through Zero Feed-In: In combination with the optionally available Anker SOLIX Smart Meter , this bundle becomes a smart power plant. The output power is adjusted in real time to match the home’s actual consumption, which significantly shortens the payback period.
-
Wireless Stacking Technology: The BP2700 auxiliary battery plugs directly into the Solarbank 3 Pro without any external cables. DC coupling occurs without any power loss via integrated plug contacts.
-
Year-Round Operation (IP65 & Heating): Both components are weatherproof to IP65. The active heater integrated into the main unit protects the entire system and allows the LFP cells to be charged at temperatures as low as -20°C.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the 5.38-kWh bundle?
It combines the Solarbank 3 Pro (E2700) as the control unit with a BP2700 expansion battery to increase capacity.
How is the system capacity of approximately 5.38 kWh calculated?
The solar bank has a rated capacity of 2,688 Wh, and the BP2700 also has a rated capacity of 2,688 Wh. Together, that totals 5,376 Wh (≈ 5.38 kWh).
Can I add more items to the bundle later?
Yes. According to Anker, you can add additional BP2700 expansion batteries—up to five BP2700 modules in total (depending on the system configuration).
How many PV modules can I connect with this bundle?
Since the Solarbank 3 Pro serves as the control unit, the following applies: four PV ports, with up to two modules connected in parallel per PV port—for a total of up to eight modules.
Do I need an additional smart meter for zero feed-in?
Yes. According to Anker, a compatible smart meter is required for operation without reverse power feed-in; the feed-in can then be disabled in the app.
Can the bundle serve as a backup power source in the event of a power outage?
Yes. According to Anker, during a power outage, the off-grid output delivers up to 1,200 W; the on-grid output does not function.
Can I run devices on the off-grid output at the same time while the solar array is connected to the home electrical system?
Yes. Devices with a power rating of up to 2,000 W can be connected to the off-grid output; any power exceeding the 800 W supplied by solar power and the storage system is automatically supplemented by the utility grid.
